Friday 7pm – 9pm – Opening Practice! Tapas: the fuel for transformation
A cathartic and heart opening practice of standing poses to build heat, twists to ring out tension, backbends to build strength and internal power all taught through a creatively stimulating vinyasa flow sequence. This opening class will set a beautiful tone for the entire weekend by unveiling the transformative Universal Principles of Alignment of Anusara Yoga, and the Tantric Vision of intrinsic goodness.
Saturday 10.30am – 12.30pm – Built to Last
A class of masterful inversions. Using the Universal Principles of Alignment, learn effective preparation poses and exercises to build up to and then practice handstand, forearmstand, head and shoulderstand. A key focus will be on masterful alignment in the arms, neck and shoulders which will set a mature foundation for all students to leave with tools to continue their inversion practice for years to come.
Saturday 2pm – 4pm – Muddy Waters
NO MORE BACK PAIN! A slower, introspective practice of healing techniques for hip opening and twisting. A focus on masterful alignment of the legs and pelvis intended to create clarity and freedom in the hips equalling freedom in the lower back. Culminating in a deep Tantric meditation and pranayama practice.
Sunday 10.30am – 12.30pm – Air Miles
This is a playful workshop for climbing around with your feet off the ground. By making use of skillful awareness and intelligent effort you will learn to move gracefully into the dynamic and beautiful poses including: Bakasana, Parsva Bakasana, Visvamittrasana, Tittibhasana, Astavakrasana, Vasistasana I + II, Eka Pada Koundinyasana I + II, and handstands.
